Friday facts and fill ins

I'm gonna get a bell for Dad to wear

that way I won't have to waste energy going around looking for him

Be sure to pop in tomorrow if you have time....there could be dancing or possibly twerking
just sayin'

Speaking of end of year things....
You all probably know my peeps walk early in the morning 5 days a week at the local mall.
When the weather is good, they walk outside all around the mall and the nearby trails.
As the walk they are always on the look out for coins.  They have a jar where they
save the coins found in a year.  At the end of the year, they take it to the coin counter at our bank.  Last January 8th mom found $11.00 in an empty parking deck.  Needless to say she did a happy dance.  Last week took the jar to the bank.  Including the $11.00
they had a total of $51.46 that they found in 2016.
Walking will make you healthier and wealthier!!

Mom is joining our friends for today's fill ins

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow.
1. I have seen ELVIS Presley play in concert.
2. I would like to attend a George Strait concert.
3. In the dead of Winter, I wear sweatshirts.
4. The main ringer on my cell phone is don't laugh, I still have a flip phone, the ringer is just a standard ring. I only use it for emergencies when away!

  6. Mom spotted a twenty dollar bill in someone's driveway awhile back but she decided that because it was on private property, it would be consider stealing to pick it up and take it. Every time we go by this house now, mom is always telling us to look for twenties!

  9. we save all change in a jar, but never thought about checking the ground for where we walk, I do know I found 2 quarters last month, on the floor of the gym at YMCA.. we have about 3 jars full right now. bob calls is mad money for hurricane or power outages because once we had a storm and the grocery stores opened on generators but had to use a box for cash only to pay, and so did several other stores. we needed change and cash. did you ask mom to spend the FOUND money on YOU of the laser beam eyes?

  11. I sometimes use George Strait singing Christmas Cookies for my ringtone in December! I am impressed with the walking you do, I need to do that. We don't have a mall close. I have to use the dreaded treadmill in winter. I love that you are doing Fill-ins... yay! I do them in comments at Annie's and 15 and Meowing's comment section.
Madi, I will be sure to be here tomorrow!

  15. Wow, that's awesome that your parents saved up so much money just from collecting change on walks! Do they do anything fun or special with the money? Our parents saved up all of their change one year (not from walks, just the change they accumulated themselves over the year), and then used it to go gambling with. They ended up winning $1200!

  17. Our dad always looks for money during their runs and has been tracking it for many years. One year he found a $50 gift card and they have found $20 twice now. It pays to keep a sharp eye! Madi, you do need to put a bell on your dad if he is going to be rude and sneak in those shaves during your naps!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  18. I am always on the look-out for stuff on the ground too! I've scored a few $20 bills, and of course coins aplenty. The Hubby found a broken gold necklace in a parking lot, which he had fixed up and made into jewelry for me...how sweet! Also spend a fair amount of time outdoors looking for cats. Cats hide in plain sight, and I look for strays and ferals. Were you a child when you saw Elvis in concert? Must have been! ;-)

  19. I have a flip phone too and I've never used a phone to text :) You're right though, Madi ... humans should wear bells too. You're so sweet to always be looking out for your Dad.

  20. Mum would have loved to have seen Elvis in concert too. She was just a kid when he died but her dad (my granddad) was a big fan so she grew up listening to Elvis and also became a fan.
