Today we join Two SPOILED CAT
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
Today I'm attempting Haiku...
"Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme
Seeing
by TOGM
From atop the hill
she could see ahead for miles.
Does she really see?
Searching
by TOGM
From atop the mound
She searches for what she wants
But can it be found?
that is wonderful and very wise!!! BRAVO!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful poem. We like that a lot. We like the picture too. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I am befuddled by trying Haiku, my brain cells become frazzled. Congratulations at your attempt, I think for sure you are successful. Both Haiku poems are perceptive.
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful and we love your Autumn header!
ReplyDeleteI like both of these, and when I first saw the photo I thought it was a post in the middle. I think I need to get my eyes checked
ReplyDeleteNice. They are both good.
ReplyDeleteThat was a terrific poem. Hey, your header pic is stunning!
ReplyDeleteLove the first one especially. Very deep.

ReplyDeleteOh my word C - these are magnificent efforts! The first is the strongest, structurally and with the query. If I may, had the same been applied in the second it would equal the first... "but can it be found?" - are you familiar with Carpe Diem blog? I think you would flourish from reading and sharing there!!! With these lines, Cecilia alone shines and claims this blog fully as her own... blessings and Love. YAM xx
YaYa thank you for that most delightful compliment.
DeleteOMword...It was my first attempt. LOL I actually had to google what exactly what Haiku meant. I wrote the first one straight out of the 'shoot' last week. The second one yesterday. YOUR suggestion on the last line was perfect and it has been changed.
Hugs HiC
...It was sincerely meant! In case anyone else finds, as you did, that my link to Carpe Diem looks empty - just click the HOME button centre page of that screen... Yxx
DeleteCongrats on two excellent Haiku. They both fit the picture perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThere are a number of haiku forms but the 5-7-5 is our favorite....we love both of these - they are a matched pair! We thought this particular photo would be SUPER for poetry we were right. Have read some real beauties. Next week should be interesting too! Tee Hee
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam and Teddy too
We sure hope it gets found. 😀
ReplyDeleteVery good poems! Wish I could do that!
ReplyDeleteI love haikus! Our teacher taught us how to write them when I was in elementary school; don't you think that was a cool thing? Love both of yours!
