Do you see the heron just under the small Maple on the right
This beautiful carved plaque following the shape of North Carolina with the
actual shape of NC and the counties inlaid was in the Visitor Center at Hanging Rock State Park
I'm 100% prejudiced but I LOVE THE SHAPE of NORTH CAROLINA.
Oh I love the tranquillity of the first picture with the weeping willow.
ReplyDeleteThe vineyard had beautiful grounds and the heron is posing perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI have often wondered just how the states were drawn in the shapes they are in. not enough to research it, but just how did they come up with it? I love that view of the foot bridge. so beautiful... and that is a wonderful weeping willow

ReplyDeleteDefinitely serene - and I think NC in that frame resembles a genie's lamp! YAM xx
The weeping willow is stunning. The grounds of the vineyard are so pretty. I saw that heron under the Maple but I wouldn't have if you hadn't called attention to it. We have Horatio Heron and they just crack me up. Great pictures.

The vineyard looked so beautiful. Herons are my favourite.❤️
ReplyDeleteThe weeping willow looks so inviting to rest under. I love that plaque!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Ghostwriter was reminded of going to the Duffern Islands in Niagara Falls Canada on hot summer days.
ReplyDeleteOur comment keeps disappearing. The heron was so nice to give you a selfie in that beautiful place. Very nice plaque - it looks like it is displaying all the state's counties.
