As many of you might remember, Dad of Angel Madi and
I walk 5 days a week between 8 am and 9 am in and around our local Mall.
We always walk when it is raining. The mall has lots of covered areas.
If it is above 35 degrees, and NOT windy, we walk outside
If it is below 75 degrees, and not humid, we walk outside
While we walk, we find all kinds of treasures, mostly coins and occasionally paper money. In past years we turned in a passport and several debit cards to the mall office. Any money goes into a very large jar. At the end of the year,
we take the bank to be counted by their automatic teller.
Spring and Heart asked to be in this year's post about the money.
Take it away Spring and Heart
Are you ready for the total
Bills: $17.00
quarters: $21.75
dimes: $13.50
nickles: $3.60
pennies: $6.00
TOTAL of
$61.85
Moral to this post:
Walking is good for you mind, body and
wallet!!
oh wow!!! we are green with envy... da phenny found two cents once and da nelly a button what he accidentally ate (but it came back, therefore they probably call it butt-on)
ReplyDeleteThat's enough for a nice dinner out!
ReplyDeleteWe need to start walking at the mall. We will never get rich walking in our own neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteWe are our walking and running with mom for 2 - 3 hours a day, but all we ever find is a penny here and there. Maybe we should start walking around malls!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty impressive AND fun!
ReplyDeleteyowzer's....you guys found a bunch o'money!
ReplyDeleteWow....that's a lot of $$$

I was about to comment we will be walking at the mall, but then I remembered there ae no people there to drop money, sadly the mall only has the Penny's store and a few small ones. acres of empty parking lot. I am truly shocked at how much you found, especially the quarters. and the benefit of walking is even much more than the wallet.

ReplyDeleteGracious!!! Well done you two. Quite the treasure trove. YAM xx
It sure pays well to walk at the mall. We hope you spend it on something fun.
ReplyDeleteBravo, that's some darn good money finding!
ReplyDeleteYou get your exercise and get paid to do it. Love this.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hug. ♥
Haha! Well done! I too have found money; a $20 bill in a snow drift was a more recent find. I even picked up pennies out of the street, when The Hubby was aghast that I would do such a thing, but if the Gods want to put money in my way, it's disrespectful to ignore the gift.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good profit for just walking.
ReplyDeleteWahoo!! That sounds like it might fund a fun date night!!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't found that much money. Rarely do we find a coin. However, we've found gloves, beanies, a knife, a hammer, a hand held apparatus to weigh fish, toys, leashes.... Pennies, I can understand, but bills??!!
ReplyDeleteThat's very good of you to keep up your daily walking. It's so easy to just say, "Oh I'll do it tomorrow!" Hopefully my knee will have recovered enough so I can get back to walking with Chester by Spring. That's amazing how much cash you found on your walks!
ReplyDeleteYOU guys walk the same time my mommy does! She doesn't have a mall though and has to freeze to death or sweat into oblivion OR go to the gym for the treadmill. She hates the guy but in the hottest months she will go. Mommy never finds money! 😞
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful collection result!!! Now it is time to go get something tasty with your jackpot.

WOW! That is a lot. My Penny is proud of you for picking up pennies :) XO
ReplyDeleteYou can find lots of awesome stuff when you are on a walk unless you are walking with a dog then all you see is a dog.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing the things you find in a parking lot or along a sidewalk or even inside a mall. That's quite a "haul" !
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
You had 600 pennies? Wowzers. Folks just don't bother with them anymore.
ReplyDeleteWow! Walking is paying off in more than one way!
