Happy Tuesday: heads or tails

As many of you might remember, Dad of Angel Madi and
I walk 5 days a week between 8 am and 9 am in and around our local Mall.
We always walk when it is raining.  The mall has lots of covered areas.
If it is above 35 degrees, and NOT windy, we walk outside
If it is below 75 degrees, and not humid, we walk outside

While we walk, we find all kinds of treasures, mostly coins and occasionally paper money.  In past years we turned in a passport and several debit cards to the mall office.  Any money goes into a very large jar.  At the end of the year,
we take the bank to be counted by their automatic  teller.

Spring and Heart asked to be in this year's post about the money.
Take it away Spring and Heart

Are you ready for the total

Bills:  $17.00
quarters: $21.75
dimes: $13.50
nickles: $3.60
pennies: $6.00

TOTAL of
$61.85

Moral to this post:
Walking is good for you mind, body and
wallet!!

  2. We need to start walking at the mall. We will never get rich walking in our own neighborhood!

  3. We are our walking and running with mom for 2 - 3 hours a day, but all we ever find is a penny here and there. Maybe we should start walking around malls!

  7. I was about to comment we will be walking at the mall, but then I remembered there ae no people there to drop money, sadly the mall only has the Penny's store and a few small ones. acres of empty parking lot. I am truly shocked at how much you found, especially the quarters. and the benefit of walking is even much more than the wallet.

  12. Haha! Well done! I too have found money; a $20 bill in a snow drift was a more recent find. I even picked up pennies out of the street, when The Hubby was aghast that I would do such a thing, but if the Gods want to put money in my way, it's disrespectful to ignore the gift.

  15. We haven't found that much money. Rarely do we find a coin. However, we've found gloves, beanies, a knife, a hammer, a hand held apparatus to weigh fish, toys, leashes.... Pennies, I can understand, but bills??!!

  16. That's very good of you to keep up your daily walking. It's so easy to just say, "Oh I'll do it tomorrow!" Hopefully my knee will have recovered enough so I can get back to walking with Chester by Spring. That's amazing how much cash you found on your walks!

  17. YOU guys walk the same time my mommy does! She doesn't have a mall though and has to freeze to death or sweat into oblivion OR go to the gym for the treadmill. She hates the guy but in the hottest months she will go. Mommy never finds money! 😞

  20. You can find lots of awesome stuff when you are on a walk unless you are walking with a dog then all you see is a dog.

  21. Isn't it amazing the things you find in a parking lot or along a sidewalk or even inside a mall. That's quite a "haul" !
