July is National Ice Cream Month

We have horrid heat predicted today and triple digit heat index...Good day to celebrate

Here is a flashback January 2014, starring Madi and my Ice Cream Birthday Cake
Madi was always in the middle of whatever was going on around here.
I am addicted to Ice Cream...no day is ever too cold for Ice Cream
which is good since my birthday is January 7...

The B-day Cake Caper

TA DA MOM HAD AN ICE CREAM
B-DAY CAKE ON THE COLDEST DAY

SHE LET ME LICK LOOK AT IT
ACTUALLY I GOT WITH IN A NANO INCH
FROM THE BLUE FLOWER BUT SHE JERKED IT AWAY
LIKE I HAVE COOTIES

THEN SHE PUTS IT BACK IN THE BOX
SO I'M LOOKING FOR ANOTHER ROUTE
I DECIDED TO JUMP ON IT
BUT SHE MOVED IT SO I HAD TO
MAKE A DEATH DEFYING LEAP
GUESS I SHOWED MOM THAT SHE
CAN'T FOOL ME
MY WORK IS DONE NOW ONTO
MORE IMPORTANT MATTERS
THE CAKE WAS CHOCOLATE CHIP ICE CREAM IN
THE CENTER WITH CHOCOLATE CAKE
AND VANILLA ICE CREAM ON THE OUTSIDE
AND I'M ASSUMING IT WAS LIP SMACKING GOOD
I DON'T LIKE ICE CREAM BUT I LIKE TO
TEASE MOM

***************************

I hope you enjoyed this flashback with my Angel

  1. Great flashback. Gail adores ice cream, but only the really unhealthy stuff made with a high percentage of proper cream!

  5. Is it easier to get brain freeze in July, or in January, when eating ice cream?
Inquiring minds want to know, Angel Madi!

  6. I am partial to a bit of cinnamon ice cream. Although I will ditch ice cream the minute I see cotton candy (which I actually did once in Budapest and the ice cream was delicious. It still ended up in the bin while I got myself some cotton candy....).

  8. It was fun seeing Miss Madi again. Ice cream is also eaten year round in our house. We like to lick the bowls clean after our pawrents have some.

  10. We remember that awesome ice cream cake. Tomorrow is our Dad's birthday as well as our human brother-in-law AND our cousin Duncan!!! We think Mom really needs to get an ice cream cake and be sure it has enough parts with no chocolate so we can have some too:)
