  4. The leaves on that tree do look like little saws!

  5. That's an interesting tree. We've never seen oak leaves like that before.

  6. I need that thunder sign to wait out the back door at Bob when he's in the pool and I open the door and yell I hear thunder because he can't. If you can hear thunder it can hit you. And this is the time of year we get it and get it hard and fast. One minute the sun is shining it's hot it's humid and you feel like you can't breathe and then boom there's the storm and then it's gone. The heat and humidity were so bad this morning I had to cut those walk short I just could not keep going

  7. No problem, I'd head right indoors away from the boomers. Those tree leaves are really interesting.

  8. I don't want to be out in the thunder and lightening either. I'd be indoors pronto.

Love that tree. That's amazing. I can see where it got its name.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Big hugs, my friend. ♥

  10. I don't think I've ever seen a saw-tooth oak before. Nice.

Oh, and we've had lots of thunder storms around here lately. Good thing Chester isn't afraid of them.

  11. how cool !!!! they are out of the TT zone for growing here and stupid question; does thunder
mean potential hurricane also, or just a bad rain storm ☺☺♥♥

  12. Dad remembers those oaks from the woods where he lived. Great

  13. Reminds me of Sawgrass Square in Sunrise, Fl. They have grass that looks like those leaves.
As for the Thunder Sign, once in Iowa a friend and I took shelter under a huge pine tree during a thunderstorm. Fortunately the CRAAACK we heard was a few miles away, but it scared us enough to run through the rain to safer cover. We learned never to hide under a tree in a thunderstorm!

  14. First rumble of distant thunder and I am straight indoors!

  15. Cool leaves on the tree! Wonder if they could grow here in the Pacific Northwest?

  16. We kinda miss the thunder. We rarely get thunderstorms here on the North Coast...I do NOT miss the lightning and hail though.

    What a cool oak!

  17. I wonder if the edges of the leaves can hurt anyone/anything.

  18. Lady would not follow that advice well as she loves thunderstorms.

  19. We have those planted in our food plots. Hopefully, they will make the huge acorns one of these days.
    Good warning advice.

  20. That sign is good advice, though around here sometimes it thunders and nothing happens.

  21. We have been living by that sign for the last few weeks. It has been crazy here. I know it is our rainy season but this is ridiculous! We had some Oaks on the Tiny Ten that had leaves like you posted. The bark is really different on the Sawtooth Oak.

  22. I don't knows how you guys do it...both Ma and I would DIE in that humidity!!! BOL!!!
That tree is pawsome! I've never seen one of those befores!
