Wordless Wednesday Question

Thanks to our

How long has it been since you saw a Greyhound Bus?
I don't even recall the last time I saw one; however, I do remember the color was not this pretty.

  4. As a kid mom used to travel with her great aunt on the Greyhound and she traveled to visit her family on the Greyhound. Over time it has lost its luster, but it was great in its time. and it is from out state!

  5. That's a beautiful bus. I remember going to the bus station when I was little but don't remember anything else. I haven't seen a Greyhound bus in a very long time. A bus that is fresh in my memory was the bus on the Walton's TV show.

  6. Our mom says she can't remember when she saw one of those buses. She thinks if you traveled on the highways, you might see them, but we don't travel much. We do see lots of school buses going up and down our street at least twice a day.

  7. The last time I traveled on a bus was a school bus in 1962 the year I graduated from high school. Wait that’s not true for all of 1962 and part of 1963 I rode the city bus from my parents home to my job in Savannah. I hated it drastically and bought a car. The last time I saw a greyhound bus was when I put my grandson on a bus and 2005 to send them back home. I have not seen one since then because we don’t go in We have not been on the road since 2008. I don’t remember if I saw one on that trip. I do remember they didn’t look like this one. But I did read lots of trains and loved it

  8. I've seen one last year. They are still around. When I was young I rode the Greyhound buses all the time. It's how I got to different cities.

Greyhound operates in the UK too. The company (including the USA version) was bought by the Aberdeen-based FirstGroup PLC. So when you see a Greyhound bus you are seeing a connection to this Bonny Land! YAM xx

  11. It's been years since I've ridden a bus and I rarely see them as I try to avoid the highways with the crazy drivers.

  17. I once traveled from Florida to Virginia via Greyhound......it was the most miserable experience of my life (well....I MIGHT have a few more miserables but this bus trip was definitely one of them!). That bus is beautiful but probably still not fun on a long distance "run" !!

    Hugs, Pam
