This home is across the street from the home with the stone staircase.
Lots of tall Pines in our 'hood. The pink tree is a very rare pink dogwood.
Next photo is from a trek in the 'hood
Some people feel a need to cut their Crepe Myrtle trees back way too much
It is good to prune them but we call this
All I cut back is the dried seed pods from ours. I love the view of the "forest".
ReplyDeleteBTW, just read your comment about the blue ducks...maybe they are raising & selling swedish blue ducks?
DeleteIt is nice to see all the tall trees. That poor Crepe Myrtle!
ReplyDeleteYep - that was definitely CREPE MURDER!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
The pink dogwood is just beautiful but that poor crepe myrtle!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen or heard of cutting a crepe myrtle back like that. Maybe they are going to just take it out. Love the setting of the white home with all the pink in bloom, very pretty. They must like white... white car too!

I don't think I have ever seen a dogwood so tall.
ReplyDeleteI tried to say Murdered Myrtle out loud three times and could not. most definitly murder of a tree. I don't think it will come back. maybe they will remove the evidence... that dogwood is stunning
ReplyDeleteIt's a Who Dunnit? Who caused Myrtle's Untimely Demise? Call in Agatha ...
ReplyDeleteThat looks horrible. WHY would they DO that! I know what they think the reason is, but I'm with you. We have pink dogwood out the kazoo here. Red is rare for us. But we have that too.
ReplyDeleteOh that poor Crepe Myrtle! I love love love the pink dogwood.
ReplyDeleteDang, I don't think poor Myrtle deserve that!
ReplyDeleteHow sad about the Crepe Myrtle. XO
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house. I love the pink dogwood.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful house and surroundings
ReplyDeleteWill that crepe myrtle come back from such a severe cutting? Even if it did we doubt it will look very good.
ReplyDeleteSpring is in the air. The Japanese maple is lovely! The ducks are fun. We had a pair in the puddle of the driveway one morning! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteI've seen lots of murdered crepe myrtles around here. It's sad.
